Program Lead Health & Wellness
HEALTH & WELLNESS: Prepare key inputs and lead critical discussions and informed decision making for the Health & Wellness Governance Team. Drive key discussions with the Governance team around the prioritization of activities through adherence to the metrics and key priorities. Lead the reporting strategy for Mars Wrigley Confectionery’s external Health & Wellness indexes by coordinating reporting and efforts with the Mars Corporate team. Execute the tracking of Health & Wellness’ internal and external commitments by gathering relevant data, turning that data into insights, and then relaying those insights to the business to create actionable steps to achieve the long-term commitments of the Health & Wellness Governance Team.
TECHNICAL INGREDIENTS: Coordinate with the Science, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and Quality & Food Safety team leads to track Confectionery’s critical ingredient list and co-create strategies and processes to mitigate potential ingredients of concern in Confectionery’s portfolio. Lead project owners in creating timelines and key milestones to attain the goals and needs of the Technical team, as well as the larger business. Monitor these timelines and milestones to ensure projects are staying on track.
GLOBAL PUBLIC POLICY GROUP: Build the agenda for key leadership decision meetings regarding external and technical issues and opportunities for Mars Wrigley Confectionery globally. Coordinate with the leads of critical Confectionery functions including: Policy, Health & Wellness, Technical Ingredients, Responsible Marketing, and Sustainability, to prioritize and bring issues to members of the Confectionery Leadership Team for crucial decisions.
PRODUCT SAMPLES: Lead the coordination of the product samples required for Board of Director, Mars Family and other important meetings. Manage the required project management activities to gather new products and prototypes from regional and global contact. Plan and set up display requirements and host the necessary preview meetings with the Confectionery Leadership Team as required.

This role will bring consistency to the team through establishing collaborative ways of working and applying situationally appropriate tools (e.g. meeting notes templates, action trackers, timelines, charters, presentation templates, meeting facilitation guides, reporting dashboards, stakeholder communication documents, etc.).
The PMO role is focused on the pursuit of continuous improvement of project management activities to maximize the team’s inputs/outputs to achieve our business objectives faster.
A Program Lead plays a critical role to ensure that team tacit knowledge is made explicit through the use of business tools for knowledge sharing (SharePoint, One Drive, One Note, etc.) and fosters a team culture of knowledge sharing to maintain business continuity in an environment of constant change.
This role will also be called upon to contribute expertise and program management to other ‘added value’ global Confectionery R&D initiatives to ensure the success of the global R&D organization.
Bachelor’s Degree in business, food science, marketing or other closely related field
8 years professional experience working in a business environment
3 years leading and managing global programs
Excellence in project management with strong influencing skills to be able to get work done through others.
Experience managing cross-functional and globally dispersed teams.
Comfort in navigating systems and processes to effectively drive program of program deliverables and activities.
Understanding and experience initiating continuous improvements and pursuit of improved ways of working, communication and project management.
Understanding of risk assessment and contingency planning.
Effective communication skills including:
Synthesizing qualitative updates across various teams into clear and concise reports
Ability to customize message to suit the audience from peers through senior management
Effective stakeholder management to ensure program updates are cascaded accordingly
